With the end of the year in sight, it’s time for us to take a brief break at Rich in Color. While we won’t be updating our main site with new posts, you may spot us from time to time on Tumblr or Twitter. We will be back to our regular posting schedule on Monday, January 6th.
In the meantime, let’s have a giveaway, shall we? This giveaway is open to people with U.S. mailing addresses only.

Duh! The Tinker King by Tiffany Trent! Has a handsome Asian man on the cover =) And the first book in the series had a mixed race asian girl on the cover!
Just want to say that I love this blog! So many great books that I’m looking forward to reading!
I’m not up to date on what will be coming out in 2014 – but I’d like to commit to reading more diverse lit this year! I loved Summer of the Mariposas last year (read and discussed it with Kathy from The Brain Lair). I’d love to win Diverse Energies or Team Human on this list 🙂
Thanks for sharing so many wonderful books!
Awesome giveaway!!!Hope I win one of the awesome books being offered!
Prolly looking forward to Warrior by Ellen Oh.
I’m new to your blog. I’d like to win one of these great books.
I’m lost on what’s coming out in 2014. I know I want to read and blog about more diverse lit this coming year. I think I’ll finish reading the Tankborn series. I enjoyed the first one. Like Maria mentioned above, we loved Summer of the Mariposas this past year!
Warrior by Ellen Oh! Thanks for the giveaway!
This is an amazing giveaway! I’m looking forward to Warrior!
definetly Warrior by Ellen Oh
I definitely would LOVE to win a copy of The Living by Matt de la Peña!
Definitely looking forward to Guardian by Alex London. He’s such an amazing new YA voice! I love what he’s done with sci-fi/dystopia. Very Matrix and Bladerunner and Neuromancer.
I think Silver Phoenix looks interesting. I don’t even have a list at the moment, but I did want to say this website is very cool. Anything that can be done to make the world we expose our young to a more fair and realistic world, I’m all for it. I look forward to learning about new books to recommend here as I’m a librarian and I’m often asked for recommendations. (And I love to read YA so… I’m the one most often asked for that category.) I also have 3 daughters and want them to be inspired by literature and film, not taught they are lesser in any way –or that anyone is.
Here’s hoping for some new books!
I am so excited to read Warrior by Ellen Oh! Prophecy was great, so I’m thinking Warrior will be just as good. Or maybe even better.
I’m really looking forward to reading the second book in The Living series! I was lucky enough to read an arc of The Living, and it blew me away! Cannot wait for the sequel!
I really can’t wait for The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan and Cress by Marissa Meyer!
I can’t wait to read To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han. 🙂
Definitely Warrior by Ellen Oh 🙂
