Thank you for your support this year at Rich in Color. This year was filled with many opportunities for our team and provided us with a number of fantastic YA books by or about people of color. We here at Rich in Color have decided to give ourselves a break and spend some time relaxing and recharging as we prepare to take on a new year. We will be on hiatus until January 11, 2016.

I loved The Wrath and the Dawn and really liked Tiny Pretty Things!
For 2016 I’m excited to read “A Torch Against the Night” by Sabaa Tahir, the sequel to “An Ember in the Ashes.” My favorite book of 2015 was “Written in the Stars” by Aisha Saeed
I read a few books with people of color in them. My favorite this year was reading 30 years a slave. It gives such an interesting perspective on slave life. The only thing I didn’t like about the book was how fast they skimmed over his escape. And as normal, the book was way better then the movie.
